Hello, Stacy. It's always fun to see a fellow North Carolinian stop by planDisney to ask a question, welcome! I see that your trip to the
Most Magical Place on Earth is only a few short days away. I bet you are getting so excited!
Stacy, I'm so glad you were able to grab a reservation for breakfast one morning at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. It's actually my favorite character meal right now. Great choice! Stacy, taking the
monorail over to Epcot and then hopping on the
Disney Skyliner is not going to work to get you over to Disney's Riviera Resort for a few reasons. One, your breakfast is pretty early and I am not sure that the transportation to those areas is going to be running that at that time, it all depends on when the Walt Disney World Theme Parks opens that day. The other reason this won't work out is that the monorail drops you off at the front of Epcot and to get to the Disney Skyliner you'd actually have to use a park ticket with a park pass reservation for Epcot, enter Epcot and then exit out the back at the International Gateway. That's where the Disney Skyliner is located. All that to say, that's more than likely not going to work out.
If it were me, I'd use a ride share service to get to your early morning breakfast reservation. Ride-share companies can pick you up right in front of the lobby at Disney's Contemporary Resort and drop you off right in front of the lobby at Disney's Riviera Resort. I've used ride-share services to get all of the Walt Disney World Resort and there are also pretty affordable, I think you'd be surprised. It's also such an early morning that you don't have to factor in that much travel time. I went ahead and put it in my ride-share app just to see and with the wait time for a car, currently, you'd be there in just under 15 minutes and the price is right around $6.00. That seems worth it to me. Of course, the price can change depending on the time of day and volume but that's just to give you an idea.
If you'd like to use the complimentary transportation at Walt Disney World, I have another idea for you. Depending on what time Magic Kingdom Park opens and when the buses are running, you can actually walk over to Magic Kingdom Park from Disney's Contemporary Resort. Once you are there, head over to the bus stop area, which you'll see on your walk, and board a bus that is heading back to Disney's Riviera Resort. That's going to be the most direct and convenient way to get there. Buses to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks start running about 45 minutes prior to the scheduled opening time so you'll have to check to see if buses will be running from the resorts to Magic Kingdom Park that early.
I hope this helps you plan how to get your early morning reservation, Stacy. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
reach back out to me directly. I'm here to help. Have fun and enjoy!
