Hiya Amy,
Welcome to planDisney! I’ve always loved dining at the
Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. From the fried chicken at the
Grand Floridian Café, the bread pudding at
1900 Park Fare, the incredible enhancements at
Citricos, and don’t even get me started about
Victoria and Albert’s. Truly, I have yet to find a dining location at the Grand Floridian that isn't amazing.
Before I head off to make a dining reservation for a spur-of-the-moment breakfast myself, let’s get to your question. I like where your thinking is, Amy. I also enjoy dining at one of the monorail resorts on Magic Kingdom days due to their proximity, but unfortunately, you cannot leave your vehicle parked for the entire day. To ensure adequate parking for registered resort Hotel Guests,
parking for Guests with dining reservations is limited to 3 hours. If your vehicle is parked for longer than three hours it may be towed so you have two options you can park at Grand Floridian for your dining reservation and then afterwards move your vehicle to the Transportation and Ticket Center or option 2 is to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then monorail over to the Grand Floridian for your breakfast. If it were me, I would choose option 2 to avoid having to move my vehicle, but that’s just me.
I hope this was helpful, Amy. Before I let you go, I wanted to let you know that the Transportation and Ticket Center typically opens about an hour before
Early Entry begins for the day. So if you decide to go with option two, make sure that your dining reservation gives you ample time to park and get to the Grand Floridian on time. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
