We have breakfast reservations for both days we have planned to be at the Theme Park and plan to get lunch at the park. Are we falling behind by arriving to the park after 10 am?

Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. With your trip just around the corner, it's a great time to think about how you're going to be spending your time in the Theme Parks so let's chat about when to arrive to get the most out of your Disney day!

My favorite thing about planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort is that there are so many ways to plan out your day, and there is no one right way to do it. An early breakfast is a great way to start your day, and prioritizing that time with your family is a fun way to make vacation memories! I will say, though, that if getting to as many attractions as possible is the top priority for your trip, you may want to re-evaluate your plans. The early morning hours at the Theme Parks are prime time for shorter waits, and people who start early, or "rope drop" as we call it, tend to find that their most productive time of the day in terms of riding attractions is the first few hours after opening. If you're planning on arriving after 10:00 AM, the Theme Parks will have already been open for an hour or more, and you typically won't be looking at the shortest wait times of the day as you're walking in.

All that said, there is a way to keep your plans the way they are and still make the most of your time in the Theme Parks! Disney Genie+ service allows you to book attraction return times in advance so you can spend that time outside of the traditional standby queue. In theory, that means you could be sitting down enjoying your breakfast but also be in line for an attraction at the same time! Disney Genie+ service is available for purchase each day through the My Disney Experience app and you can book your first Lightning Lane return time beginning at 7:00 AM. I recommend doing this and booking a time for your first attraction right around the time you plan to arrive at the Theme Park so you can just walk right in and onto your first ride!

I hope this answers your questions, Jennifer, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
