Hi there, Francis!
I'm sure the anticipation is building as your stay at the Most Magical Place on Earth is fast approaching! In just a few weeks, you'll be walking with a Mickey balloon down Main Street U.S.A. and taking on the wildest ride in the wilderness on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! Don't forget to stop by
Sleepy Hollow for a delicious waffle or funnel cake! This is my favorite quick service restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park, now offering the convenience of
Mobile Ordering!
Character dining at Walt Disney World Resort is one of the most popular activities for Guests of all ages. I mean, who can resist the temptation of dancing along with Mickey and his friends while fueling up for a long, fun-filled day in the parks? With so many Guests interested in dining with their favorite character, it can make reservations tough to come by. Advance dining reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 60 days before Guests' arrival date. Most of these reservations do get scooped up pretty quickly, even 60 days in advance! Since you are within that 60-day window, we may have to take another approach to finding a character dining reservation for you.
My first recommendation is to stay persistent, as reservation availability often changes as Guests' plans change during their stay. As one Guest cancels a reservation, that time slot becomes available for others to book. If you can keep your plans flexible and refresh the
My Disney Experience Mobile App multiple times per day leading up to your arrival, you may luck out and find one of these coveted reservations. For character dining outside of the parks, like
Chef Mickey's or breakfast at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, you will even get to take a glimpse at other Disney Resort Hotels!
Another option is to utilize the Walk-Up List at select character dining locations. You can join this list as soon as the restaurant opens, but just like reservations, the list does fill up very quickly.
Tusker House Restaurant is a good Walk-Up List option, just make sure you're in the park at the time the restaurant opens to grab a spot on the list. This can be done using your My Disney Experience App. Just use the search feature to find the restaurant, click it and select "Join Walk-Up List." You'll be shown an approximate wait time once your place on the list is secured. Other character dining locations also have a Walk-Up List, so feel free to check those out during your stay, too!
Finally,
Ravello at the Four Season Resort Orlando also offers a Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and his Pals. As this restaurant is not technically on Walt Disney World property, it does not show up when searching for dining reservations. If you call the restaurant or resort directly, you can inquire about availability during your trip.
Francis, I do hope this helps you dine with all of the most beloved Disney characters during your vacation. It may not be the most traditional route, but sometimes we have to take the long way to get to our destination. Just ask Lightning McQueen!
Ka-Chow!
