We have a breakfast reservation at the Tusker House at 8:05 will the bus run that early or will it be better to drive? Also do you think we will be able to enjoy the meal get some pictures and be in line for the safari right at 9:00??

    Hi Ryan,

Early morning character breakfasts are a fabulous way to start your day off with some Disney magic.  I especially love being able to take a few photos with my family when the park is near empty as we stroll to the restaurant for breakfast.

There are designated buses that transport Guests who have early morning Advanced Dining Reservations prior to theme park opening.  The day before your early morning character meal you should check with your Resort concierge about transportation arrangements.  They will give you specific instructions for transportation from your Resort hotel.  I have used the Disney transportation system as well as driven my own vehicle for early morning character breakfasts.  I found both methods had their advantages, so it is up to your own preference.  However it is not necessary to drive your vehicle in order to make it to your early morning Advanced Dining Reservation at Animal Kingdom.

Since you have one of the first available Advanced Dining Reservation times, you will likely be seated quickly when you arrive at Tusker House.  I usually calculate about an hour for my family to enjoy a character buffet meal. Therefore you will probably be leaving Tusker House around 9:00 AM and can head straight to Kilimanjaro Safari.  Since your meal is a buffet, you will not have any wait time for food preparation.   Also, the characters come around the restaurant and stop at each table which allows your family to sit back, dine and take pictures.  This is such a pleasant time saver and my number one reason why we enjoy several character meals with each trip.

Enjoy your meal Ryan, and be sure to try the Jungle Juice.  Yummy!

    Blessings,
    Brenda ºOº
