Kona Café for breakfast is a great way to begin your Disney day, Kaycee! There is such a cool vacation vibe to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
The official start time of the
Monorail is 30 minutes before Magic Kingdom opens. On September 9, the park opens at 8:30 AM. The Monorail should be running by 8:00 AM, which wouldn’t be early enough to get you to your 7:45 AM breakfast reservation. However, my experience has been that the Monorail begins running earlier than the posted times. Sometimes those start times are significantly earlier than the posted times.
Kaycee, you could arrive at the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) by 7:00 AM and wait for the Monorail to begin operating. If the Monorail doesn’t begin operating in time for you to arrive for your reservation, you could make the rather short walk from the TTC to the Polynesian. The TTC is adjacent to the Polynesian. My family has made that exact walk many times to enjoy dining at the Polynesian.
If you’re comfortable walking, the walk will take you about 10 minutes. If you’d rather not walk and want to make sure you make it to your reservation on time, then you might want to book a private ride from your resort to the Polynesian.
