We have a 10:30 breakfast reservation at Hollywood and Vine. The lunch buffet starts at 10:45. Can we eat from both buffets?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Nancy!

While a visit to Walt Disney World is always magical, there's something extra special about dining in a fantastic Table-Service restaurant inside the parks. What a delicious way to take a break!

Nancy, one of my favorite little-known perks of a late morning breakfast at some Walt Disney World buffet restaurants is the ability to return to the buffet and try the lunch offerings as they switch over. When the menu changes over from breakfast to lunch during your visit to Hollywood & Vine, you are free to continue dining--and try all the new dishes!

One thing I recommend: because breakfast ends at 10:30, you might want to check in at the restaurant as early as possible. On the My Disney Experience app, you can check in up to 20 minutes early as long as you are physically close enough to the restaurant. By doing this, you might be able to be seated a bit early. That will give you access to the breakfast menu well before they begin switching dishes over to lunch.

On a recent visit, we did this very thing at The Crystal Palace. After a couple of hours of park fun, we took a break from the heat, got off our feet, and enjoyed a plate of fresh fruit, pastries,  Mickey Waffles, coffee, and juice. Just a tiny sampling, of course, because some of my WDW lunch buffet favorites appeared shortly after. You'll be able to switch over from breakfast favorites to Hollywood & Vine's lunchtime offerings such as their fantastic salad bar, peel and eat shrimp, salmon, chicken, so many sides, and--of course--dessert (if you've left room, that is). Bread pudding and Mississippi Mud Pie are iconic at Hollywood & Vine!

Nancy, your question is making me crave a return visit...might have to book this very thing on our next trip. Yum!

As you plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
