Hi there, I have a breakfast reservation at Epcot that is nearly an hour before the park opens. I saw one page that said monorails only start operating half an hour before the parks open. How would I get to Epcot from Poly that early?

Greetings, Elizabeth! What a yummy morning you are going to have! Perhaps you are headed to Akershus? The Garden Grill? Whichever experience you choose, I’m sure it will be a great start to your day!

Yes, Monorails usually begin operating 30 minutes before parks open and Walt Disney World Bus Service operates about an hour before parks open. If you have a breakfast reservation that will not allow you to wait for these transportation options to open at regular times, you have a few things you can do. The night before your breakfast reservation, stop at your hotel concierge and make sure you know the times the transportation options will begin the next morning. If the times still do not line up, you’ll have to secure a cab or ride share service. Your concierge can help you plan ahead and reserve a ride so you can dress slowly and enjoy your coffee in time.

Be sure to download the mobile My Disney Experience App to search for a location and “Get Directions” from your current location (or insert a starting point of your choice). This will allow you to see ride times, step-by-step directions and more. I hope you have a magical vacation! ~ Lindsey P.
