Hello Doug!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by as you prepare to kick off Olaf's favorite season in the
Most Magical Place on Earth. I'd be delighted to assist you today. Let's dive in!
You can
make advance dining reservations for most Walt Disney World restaurants beginning 60 days before your arrival, meaning you can reserve your spot for
Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast as early as today! Availability ebbs and flows like the surf as Guests make and modify their plans, but as of this writing, I could score a table for parties of 2, 3, or 4 at Cape May Cafe. When traveling with a larger party, I recommend splitting up your crew into two smaller groups, each with its own reservation. When you arrive at the check-in stand, let the Cast Member know you'd like to dine together. For the best chance of fulfilling your request, schedule the earliest or latest possible seating when crowds are lower. My family prefers to experience the very end of a character meal. When crowds start to thin, we get extra time with our Disney friends! The chefs continue to prepare fresh food until the end of the meal, so the pancakes will be just as fresh at 11 as they were at 7.
Doug, to make two separate reservations for the same hour, you must use two different My Disney Experience accounts, so you'll need to partner with an additional person in your travel party. To make dining reservations on the
My Disney Experience mobile app, start by clicking the + sign at the bottom of the home screen. Tap the top tile that says "Check Dining Availability." Complete the information for your party size, date, and time you want to dine, then scroll down until you see Cafe May Cafe in the restaurant list. Choose a time that works for your group, and follow the prompts to complete the reservation. Right now, I see 10:15 and 10:30 for a party of four. These would be two excellent times for your group to snag if they're still available when you check.
I hope this is helpful, Doug! As I mentioned, reservation availability changes frequently, so if you want to keep checking for a party of 8, you are welcome to do so. You can cancel or modify a reservation without penalty up to 2 hours before your dining time, so once your confirmed dining plans appear in your My Disney Experience itinerary, use the modify button to search for tables for 8. When I can't get exactly what I want on my first try, I reserve something that might work for my party and then modify it to my ideal reservation as my trip approaches.
Thanks for sending your question to planDisney, and best wishes for a memorable visit. If there's anything else we can do to assist you further, don't hesitate to reach out again.
May your Disney adventure be as sunny as a day at the beach,
Betsy
