Does breakfast with Minnie and friends take walk-ins, or are they strictly reservation only?

    Hello there, Edward!

Welcome back to planDisney! Character dining at the Disneyland Resort is so wonderful, I love enjoying a great meal while the characters come to us! Some of my favorite park memories have been at these dining experiences...although my son would tell you it's all about the bacon and waffles. Ha!

"Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park" at Plaza Inn is currently the only character meal that takes place inside Disneyland Park. The view of Main Street, U.S.A. is one of the best there is! I especially love this location when the weather is good and we can eat outside. Because this is the only spot for character breakfast, it is highly recommended to make reservations (usually those open 60 days in advance at 6:00 AM Easter Standard Time). But please check back often if your dates aren't available because things do open up as people change plans! It's possible that a very limited number of same-day reservations could be available. If you aren't able to get a reservation before you arrive then I would do everything you can to be at the park early and ask at the restaurant as soon as you arrive, knowing that it might not work out.

Did you know there are other character dining options at the Disneyland Resort Hotels? You don't need to be a hotel guest to make reservations at these locations! Your choices are:

These could all be great options for your party if you aren't able to catch a reservation for Minnie's breakfast!

To add a little more character to your day, I am thrilled to report that Mickey's Toontown is now open again and looking bright and fresh! Here you can have the "perfect picnic" on the lawn and meet many of your favorite characters, including Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto. I am especially happy that Mickey is greeting friends at his home again because his house offers some great photo opportunities and you never know what movie he might be filming out in his movie barn!

There's nothing quite like meeting a favorite character, Edward. I hope your visit will be unforgettable! Please visit us again if we can help!

    Keep moving forward!
