Hello Alessandra and welcome back to planDisney! Like you, breakfast is the most important meal of the day for me. So let’s talk about the various breakfast options you’ll find at
Walt Disney World!
Whether you’re in the mood for a grab-and-go breakfast or a buffet with some of your favorite Disney characters, Walt Disney World has you covered! You’ll find coffee shops, quick service, and table service restaurants at the various
Disney Resort hotels. Breakfast is not included in your Resort hotel stay, but you can certainly add a
Disney Dining Plan and use one of your dining credits towards a breakfast meal! Just note that a Dining Plan can only be added to a Disney Resort hotel stay and not for stays at a non-Disney hotel.
Some of my favorite breakfast items at the quick service restaurants are the loaded totcho bowls that you can find at places like
Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the iconic Mickey waffles that you can find at most Disney Resort hotel quick service restaurants in the morning!
As for sit down meals, I have a couple suggestions:
- My family’s favorite character breakfast at Walt Disney World is the one at Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Mickey and friends are decked out in artistic outfits to greet you while you indulge in some delicious entrées. I recommend the wood-fired steak and eggs!
- Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort whisks you away to the Hawaiian islands with favorite dishes such as the loco moco, macadamia nut pancakes, and Tonga Toast!
- Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge features unique offerings inspired by cuisine and flavors of over 50 African countries. Don’t forget to ask for a glass of POG juice!
These are just a couple of the many table service restaurants you’ll find at Disney Resort hotels. You’ll also find many more character breakfast opportunities within the theme parks as well, such as
The Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom,
Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT, and
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You don’t have to be a Disney Resort hotel guest to eat at any of the table service restaurants, but I highly recommend making an
advance dining reservation to secure a table!
Alessandra, I hope this information is helpful for you as you plan out your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. All this talk about breakfast is sure making me hungry! If you have any further questions, please feel free to
contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
