Hi, Kelly! Your question is making me hungry for Mickey waffles!
I absolutely love character meals at Walt Disney World! I really don't think you can go wrong no matter which one you choose.
Chef Mickey's happens to be a personal favorite of my family. The first time my husband and I brought our little Mouseketeers to Walt Disney World, we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's on the first morning of our trip. We loved the delicious food and fun, lively atmosphere. My kids enjoyed watching the monorail glide by overhead and waving their napkins in the air while celebrating with Mickey and his friends. It was such a great way to kick off our Walt Disney World vacation that it has become our tradition to start all of our Walt Disney World trips this way.
One thing that you may want to consider about
Tusker House Restaurant is that it is found inside Disney's Animal Kingdom. If you are able to book an early breakfast reservation for Tusker House, prior to park opening, this could be advantageous for you. Guests with early breakfast reservations are permitted to enter the park before rope drop. You can get some great photos without crowds in the background by doing this. Also, once you are finished eating, you will be inside the park ahead of rope drop crowds, allowing you to head to a popular attraction and get in line right as it opens. Of course, valid park admission is required in order to dine at Tusker House.
Prices for these restaurants are subject to change, but you can check the Walt Disney World website for current pricing information. Also, be sure to book your reservations 180 days in advance.
See ya real soon!
