I have a breakfast booked for 9:55 am at Crystal Palace. I would like to get photos of Cinderella castle taken before the park opens for the day. Will I be allowed entry an hour before the reservation time?

    Hi, Florence!

You are going to love breakfast at Crystal Palace in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom! Be sure to grab a piece of Pooh's Puffed French Toast while you are there (it's from the Kid's Buffet, but it's so scrumptious!)

Guests with early morning dining reservations are admitted to the parks before they open; however, there is a list of such Guests, along with reservation information, at the park entrance, so I wouldn't advise you to arrive too early, as you wouldn't be able to get in without an early reservation. Not to worry, though. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to take advantage of an a.m. Extra Magic Hour at Magic Kingdom, when you'll find that the area in front of the iconic Cinderella Castle will seem deserted! I was just there during Easter week, and entered Magic Kingdom at 7 a.m. (EMH); I was able to easily to snap a photo or two of Cinderella Castle with absolutely no one in front of it; just find the spot from which you'd like to take your photo, wait a moment or two for the few Guests who are there at that time to get out of your shot, and click away.  Many Guests entering at that hour will head directly for attractions, so you'll be able to get some wonderful photos before the crowds get too heavy.

Of course, you can use this same technique on the day of your breakfast reservation even if it's not a morning of a.m. Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom. Simply arrive well before the park opens (to allow yourself to get through bag check and be near the front of the line to enter MK) and have your camera ready.

Enjoy the day, Florence! Send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
