Where can I get breakfast in the Animal Kingdom? Are there places that offer counter services (breakfast sandwiches) without having to make a reservation?

    Hi there, Gretchen!

I love that you stopped by planDisney to ask this question about grabbing a quick breakfast at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park because, on my last two visits, I did exactly that! I'm happy to recommend a couple of great spots to pick up a quick bite to start your day at Animal Kingdom.

Like many Guests, I sometimes like to start my Animal Kingdom day with a visit to the savanna, as the animals start their day. Every expedition is unique, and sometimes the animals are very active early in the morning! After a journey through the reserve, I'm usually ready for a bit of breakfast. Tamu Tamu Refreshments, in Harambe Village near the entrance to Kilimanjaro Safaris, is a great place to pop in to grab a breakfast sandwich. They offer a delicious Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit, as well as a Colossal Cinnamon Roll that's big enough to share. Also on the menu are a Guava and Cream Cheese Danish and a Honey Pistachio Croissant - yum!

Another great breakfast spot in Animal Kingdom is located on Discovery Island, close to the entrance to Dinoland, U.S.A. - Isle of Java. Not only does this cute kiosk offer fresh-brewed espresso, cappuccino, and cold drinks, but Guests can indulge with a Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit, a Mickey Pretzel, a Tiger Tail Chocolate Twist, or a Raspberry Streusel Muffin. For adventurous Guests, they serve an Island Cappuccino, made with white chocolate and Captain Morgan's Original Spiced Rum! There's a rum-spiked Frozen Coke option on the menu as well.

I hope this helps give you some breakfast options on your next visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Have a WILD TIME!
