Welcome to planDisney, Taylor!
I’m stoked to be chatting with a fellow Florida local! Keep your eye of the
Florida Residents Special Tickets, Passes, & Offers page to stay up-to-date on ways to save at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
My 4-year-old and my 1-year-old LOVE spending time at both Animal Kingdom and EPCOT — I hope you have a magical day at both of these theme parks! If I were in your shoes I would have breakfast at Akershus, use the standby queue for Frozen Ever After, and then head to Animal Kingdom with Lightning Lane plans in place. Here’s my reasoning: The line for Frozen can get long; however, much of the line is inside with air conditioning making it a bearable queue for most of the wait. A lot of the attractions at Animal Kingdom that are toddler-accessible have outdoor queues that can get long and hot. I’d much rather stand in line inside the Frozen queue on fresh legs than wait in line for Navi River Journey with an exhausted toddler. I also think the queue for Frozen has a lot more interactive elements for kids, making the time go much faster! Having Animal Kingdom Lightning Lanes secured would be my preference.
While you’re in EPCOT, you may consider spending some time in the
Journey of Water attraction before you move on to Animal Kingdom! We like bringing swimming suits (or a change of clothes) so our little ones can enjoy the shaded Moana-themed splash pad at the end of this journey! There is even a nice stone bench to help parents take a load off and enjoy!
I hope you have a marvelously magical trip, Taylor! If you have any additional questions, you know where to find us!
