Brandy, My daughters just booked their 1st ever cruise for March 2017; a 4 day Bahamas cruise. They have a deck 10 extended veranda room so one can (hopefully) do some stargazing, but would like to avoid the fireworks due to autistic sensory issues. Help!

    Ahoy Rochelle!

How exciting for your daughters to go on their first cruise ever! They will enjoy their Disney Cruise and come back with memories for a lifetime. An extended verandah will give them a great view of the stars and hopefully some wonderful sunsets as well. I understand that the fireworks may cause some unwanted distress and this is something that definitely can be avoided.  The fireworks are celebrated on Pirate Night during the Pirates In the Caribbean Deck Party.  The entire fireworks show is about 10 minutes long. On most cruises the Pirate Night will be on the day the ship visits Castaway Cay, but schedules are subject to change at any time. Your daughters could strategically plan to be safely away from their verandah during this time and could perhaps enjoy a movie or shopping and stay off of the decks during the party. You can rest easy and know that your dear pirate princesses are having a safe and fun cruise. Rochelle, please let us know if you have any more questions and thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
