I have 3 brand new magic bands. Two of which when charged has a small corner of the band that stays solid green. The third band has a slow flash green light over the entire ring of the band. Why does one light up complete and the other two just a corner?

    Hey there, Jay!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for stopping by with your question about MagicBand+! You'll be ready to enter the theme parks with ease, scan into attraction Lightning Lanes, and link your Disney PhotoPass images using your new bands during your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Jay, I'd be happy to help you understand the light patterns of your new MagicBand+!

To experience all that MagicBand+ has to offer, Guests should fully charge their bands before each use. It can take several hours to fully charge a MagicBand+, and charging times can be variable between bands, so I like to charge my bands overnight each night of my stay. Jay, I reached out to a friendly Cast Member at the My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ phone line to confirm that MagicBand+ displays several light animation patterns during charging. When a MagicBand+ is fully charged but still connected to its charger, it'll pulse a full green ring until disconnected. When only a corner portion is illuminated, it means that the band isn't quite fully charged. You should continue charging the band until the entire ring is illuminated and pulsing green light.

It's important to ensure your bands achieve a proper connection to their charger overnight, Jay. When your MagicBand+ is appropriately connected to the charger, you'll feel a haptic vibration and notice a change in the light pattern. Once connected, you should see the charging animations begin (either red, yellow, or green pulsing light). You can check the battery status of your band by pressing the button on the back of your MagicBand+ or in the My Disney Experience mobile app. Jay, if you're noticing that some of your bands aren't achieving a full charge after being connected overnight, you could reach out to the location from which you purchased the MagicBand+ for further assistance.

I hope this information helps you to charge, use, and enjoy your MagicBand+, Jay! I wish you many memorable moments in the theme parks. If you have any additional questions, feel free to stop back by planDisney anytime. We're here to help you make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort vacations!

    See ya real soon,
