Brainstorming for a short girls trip for 3or4. Which resort would you recommend for sharing a room (maybe with trundle) but not too expensive? From Canada with flight days, what is the shortest length of time you would suggest, we are all on tight schedules

    Hi Lisa!

    What a fun question!
Well, if I were to plan a girls' trip to Walt Disney World, trying to keep costs down but wanting to completely enjoy myself with my friends ... here's what I'd plan:

I'd suggest at least 3, but preferably 4 nights if you're hoping to pack as much of all four parks in as you can, along with a bit of night life of course!

Top resort picks for me would be either French Quarter or Riverside at Disney's Port Orleans Resorts. Why this location you ask? Well, the physical location of these two resorts is very central on the WDW property as a whole. This makes for short bus rides and inexpensive cab rides, when necessary, to get to wherever you'd like to be! The added perk of a boat service to Downtown Disney increases the appeal of this location. You ladies are likely going to do some shopping, dining, and maybe even coffee sipping or chocolate indulging - and Downtown Disney has ALL of that waiting for you!

I just stayed in a Royal Guest Room at the Riverside part of the resort last week and loved it! They're quite glamorously appointed, perfect fun for a group of grown-up Princesses! Although the Alligator Bayou half of Port Orleans Riverside does accommodate up to 5 guests by means of a pull-down wall bed (formerly trundle), the bed is ideal only for guests of about 10 years or younger.

Another plus I enjoyed at this resort was the well-appointed food court in the Riverside Mill. Not only are there great options such as the cereal and oatmeal bar (I thoroughly enjoyed my crisped rice cereal topped with granola, and berries each morning!) but there is also a REAL cappuccino/latte/espresso machine in the bakery part of the food court!

I hope this info is helpful to you Lisa! Please write me back any time if you have further questions. I'd love to hear from you again! Wishing you a Magical time planning your girls' getaway!
