I have bracelets from our trip 2 years ago. My daughters r going this Thursday and I'm trying to see how I can have them use their bands from our trip but I need to know how to unlink them from my account ?

    Hi Maggie!

I'm excited to hear that your daughters are getting ready for a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation later this week! January is a great time to visit because they will be able to enjoy comfortable weather while they are exploring the theme parks. I've found that the best approach for vacationing during Florida winters is to pack lots of layers so you have warm sweatshirts or coats for the morning and evening that can be removed during the warmest parts of the day.

It sounds like you have MagicBands that you used during a previous trip that you would like your daughters to be able to use during this trip. If the MagicBands were previously used by your daughters and you are linked as Friends & Family in My Disney Experience, then your daughters will be able to see their MagicBands in their My Disney Experience accounts and use them during your trip. You can check to see if you are linked by visiting the My Friends & Family page of your My Disney Experience account. If you see a comment under your daughters' names that says "Plans managed by me", then your account is not linked to their accounts. You can send them an invitation to link accounts by clicking on "Update" next to their name and then clicking "Share Planning with ...". Once they accept your invitation and your accounts are linked, then your daughters should automatically see their linked MagicBands in their account by visiting the My MagicBands and Cards page of their My Disney Experience accounts.

Unfortunately, MagicBands are non-transferrable. So if the MagicBands were previously used by someone else, you can't unlink them and re-link them to your daughters. However, they do have the option of purchasing a new MagicBand for their upcoming trip or they can use Disney MagicMobile to access their theme park tickets right from their smartphones. My family used the Disney MagicMobile service during a quick visit to Walt Disney World Resort in August and we loved it! Since my husband and I always have our phones in easily accessible locations, it was quick and simple to access our digital passes when we needed them.

Maggie, please let us know if you need any additional help as your daughters' trip gets closer and come back to see us when you are planning your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
