I have 2 boys 3 and 5. We are taking the Disney Dream cruise with some Extended family who doesn’t have kids. Is there a place to drop off boys so we can have a dinner without the boys?

    Hi Kristy!

It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Disney Dream sailing will soon be a reality. How exciting that you'll be sharing the experience with extended family, too! Time to start finalizing your fairytale adventures at sea.

The Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are tailor made for kids ages 3-12 like your boys and will gladly entertain and enthrall them while the grown-ups share a meal together. Your boys have several options for their dinner. They can eat in one of these two Youth Clubs, dine at Cabanas, try the quick service dining locations on the pool deck, or order room service. Personally, while I would totally trust the youth counselors to serve dinner, I do not trust my kids' ability to focus on eating while in the kids' clubs and would rather make sure they did myself, choosing one of the other options I mentioned.

Although the adults will likely enjoy the scheduled rotational dining location (aka "the dining room proudly presents your dinner"), might I suggest reservations for the adult-exclusive Palo or Remy? While both restaurants have a per person dining charge, I find it is worth every penny because the stellar service and exquisite dishes. I'll give you two magic words: chocolate soufflé'! Whatever you decide, your crew will have a wonderful meal and the boys will play to their hearts' content!

Finally, don't miss my favorite musical on the Disney Dream: "Beauty and the Beast" live onstage in the Walt Disney Theater. It may be a tale as old as time, but it's a must see in my book!

"Be our guest" and come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel anytime if you have additional questions. Bon Appétit and Happy Sailing!
