Our boys are similar in age, so in your opinion, what are the best non-park restaurants for our family. Coming 6/19, already have reservations at T-Rex (love it there!) and Whispering Canyon (which sounds hilarious!). Doesn't have to be a character meal.

    Hi Lori!

My boys love TRex at Downtown Disney, and are huge Whispering Canyon fans.  (Be sure to ask for ketchup, and your kids will be rolling in their seats!)  Some of their other favorites outside of the theme parks include:
    • The Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney
    • Fulton's Crab House at Downtown Disney, which is housed in a huge boat that is docked Downtown and has a great kids' menu
    • Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort - this is "the" quintessential character meal in my opinion, and features a very popular "dessert bar" that delights just about every kid out there.
    • 'Ohana at the Polynesian - breakfast is a character meal, dinner is not, but is a fun-filled family-style feast with fun kids' activities including a game with coconuts and brooms....use your's a riot!
I hope some of my suggestions help you plan a culinary itinerary that meets with your boys' approval!

    Have fun!
