Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Kristy. It looks like you'll be traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days! You've waited a long time for this visit. I'm sure you're so excited that you can barely sleep!
I love having a few Disney Gift Cards ready to be used for my family's Disney vacations. It's like having a little bit of pixie-dust in my wallet! My kiddos always collect Disney Gift Cards from relatives in the months leading up to our Disney vacations, so I usually have quite a few that I'm responsible for sorting. Let's chat about the Disney Gift Cards you have for your upcoming stay!
If you have lots of Disney Gift Cards in small increments, I recommend going to the
Disney Gift Card website where you can consolidate your cards, up to $1,000 per card. Start by logging in to your Disney account and then click on "My Cards." There you can access and manage up to six cards in your account. When my kids all have several Disney Gift Cards, I try to get the funds from all of them transferred to a single card for each child. This makes managing their spending money much easier!
While you can't link your Disney Gift Cards to your
My Disney Experience account, you
can use them to pay for mobile food and beverage orders on the
My Disney Experience mobile app. After you've placed your order, you can enter your Disney Gift Card information when you select the form of payment you'll be using. For all other purchases, you can either use a physical Disney Gift Card to pay or you can charge the purchase to your Disney Resort hotel folio with your MagicBand. In that instance, you can just
stop by the Front Desk regularly to pay down the folio charges with your Disney Gift Cards.
Did you know you can use Disney Gift Cards to pay for
Disney Genie+ Service or Individual Lightning Lane selections? Purchasing these options will take your Disney day to the next level!
I hope this was helpful, Kristy. I'm wishing you a magical stay at the Walt Disney World Resort!
