I have 3 boys (ages 5 1/2, 3 1/2, and 1 1/2). We are planning a trip for mid-March 2010. Which moderate resort do you think has the best pools/facilities for them?

    Hi Ryan!

I just returned from a wonderful holiday trip to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and my two boys have now defined it as their favorite moderate resort.  If your three amigos love to swim, this is a fantastic destination, with many pools, including one, incredibly-themed "pirate pool," complete with a ship-wrecked pirate boat filled with kid-sized slides, water canons and other water-play areas.  The resort is centered around a gorgeous lake, and is surrounded by white-sand beaches that make perfect play spots during down time from the parks.  There is a wonderful food-court area, with a huge variety of options sure to satisfy everyone in your family, as well as a great table-service restaurant, Shutters.  The newly-refurbished Nemo and Pirate rooms are spacious and well-appointed.  If your kids are pirate fans, I would absolutely recommend splurging on a pirate room, as the theming is amazing.  The beds resemble ships, the carpet looks like a wooden plank, the furniture like treasure chests and the drapery like Jolly Roger flags.

We had a fantastic time at Caribbean Beach, and I'm guessing your boys will too!

    Have a wonderful trip!
