My boyfriend and I are traveling to WDW in 3 weeks. We are staying in All-Stars Sports. I was just wondering what the best way to pay for things is? Should I buy Disney gift cards and just use those or take cash or link a card to my Magic Bands?

    Hi Kristin!

I'm so excited for you!  My husband and I also visited Walt Disney World while we were dating, and actually got engaged there.  It's definitely a special place for us!

Honestly, any of those ways will be fine.  I would do whatever works best for you.  Personally, my husband and I like to pay with cash.  That way we don't overspend (which I could easily do if I was just waving my Magic Band at the payment machine!)  But, if you are good at keeping track of expenditures (I'm not), then the Magic Band is a very convenient way to pay.  Technically, you wouldn't have to carry anything else in with you, since the Magic Band also has your park ticket information on it.

Buying gift cards in advance would serve the same purpose (not overspending) as taking cash, it just depends on if you want to fool with buying and keeping them.  The only problem I have found with this is making sure I spend the full amount on each one.  I am guessing I have several gift cards around my house with less than $5.00 on them!

You can also use your credit or debit card if you don't like carrying cash.

I hope this helps with your decision.  Any way you choose will work just fine!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
