My boyfriend and I will be traveling to WDW in January 2015. It is his first time to visit and his 21st birthday is while we are there. We have the military 4 day park hopper passes. What are the best things for first time grown ups visiting each park?

    Maeghan:

Thank you for your service to our country. Here are my top sites in each park that I would consider must-dos:

    • Animal Kingdom: Along with the obvious Kilimanjaro Safari, Expedition Everest, Dinosaur and Kali River Rapids are the fabulous shows of Flights of Wonder, Nemo: the Musical, and Lion King that shouldn't be missed.
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios: All of the park's top tier attractions are musts: Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Great Movie Ride, Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror. I'm less attracted to the juvenile entertainment in this park compared to Magic Kingdom, so don't feel guilty if you want to skip Disney Junior, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, or even Muppets in 3D. Fantasmic caps a night at the park.
    • Epcot: Soarin', Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, and Maelstrom will naturally pull you in, but don't miss some details like Sum of All Thrills at Innoventions, Club Cool for free coke products and taking in the movies in the pavilions of Canada, China, and France. Illuminations is a must-see, so don't leave the park early.
    • Magic Kingdom: All of the "mountains," including Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain provide the iconic experience at this park. But don't think the attractions in Fantasyland are just for children. The details at Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and the new Little Mermaid mark classic Disney characters. Of course, the parades and fireworks simply should be seen. If I had to skip something in this park, it would be Aladdin, the carousel, Tiki Birds and Country Bear Jamboree.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
