My boyfriend and I are staying at the Dolphin and are wanting to bring our E-Bikes to take over to Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and/or the Transit Center for Magic. Does Disney offer bike racks at these parking areas or like a check in area?

    Hello there, Alex!

I’m so glad that you found planDisney. The EPCOT Resort Area is one of my favorite places to stay, and I love how the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel is conveniently located so close to Disney’s BoardWalk. This is such a romantic place to walk around with all of the restaurants, shopping, and nighttime activities.

Alex, after a bit of digging, I learned that according to Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, bicycles are permitted only in designated Disney Resort areas. I spoke with a Cast Member, and they shared that bicycles are not allowed in the EPCOT Resort area, and that would also include electric bikes. If you’d like to bike in that area, you could always rent a Surrey bike. Surrey bikes are allowed as they are more of a leisure-style transportation. I also learned that electric bikes are not permitted on bike trails, roadways, or sidewalks at the resort.

Here are my recommendations for getting to each of the theme parks from the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel:

    • Magic Kingdom Park: Take the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel bus service to the main entrance. Buses run every 20-25 minutes. The buses will take you to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you can take a Riverboat or Monorail to Magic Kingdom Park.
    • EPCOT: Walk about 15 minutes or take a friendship boat to the EPCOT International Gateway entrance.
    • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Walk about 25 minutes or take a friendship boat to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
    • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Take the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel bus service to the theme park entrance. Buses run every 20-25 minutes.

May the magic be with you!

    Melanie
