Hello and welcome to planDisney, Cailyn. I'm so glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question.
It's unfortunate that your friend won't be able to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth with you, Cailyn, but I am certain you all will still have a wonderful visit. I think you'll be happy to know that in most cases, you are able to reassign an unused Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket to someone else.
Here's how to do it:
- The person with the ticket needs to log in to their MyDisneyExperience account. I like to use the MyDisneyExperience mobile app to do this because I feel like it's more user-friendly but you can also do it on a computer as well.
- Find and select the "Tickets and Passes" option.
- Scroll through the tickets linked to their account until they find the one to be reassigned. Then select the option to"Reassign Ticket".
- This will pull up all of the people that they are connected to via the Family & Friends list and they can select the person they would like to reassign the tickets to.
- If all goes well you should see a confirmation and then the switch is reflected immediately on each person's MyDisneyExperience account.
It's a pretty simple process and I don't think you'll have any trouble. In case you do, I'm going to give you the number to the
existing tickets support line just in case. You can call 407-566-4985 starting around 7:00 a.m. and they should be able to help you out.
