Hi there, Giovanna,
I’m glad you came to planDisney with this question. We want to help you maximize the benefits of your
Disneyland Resort Magic Key passes. So this is important to get sorted out.
When Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets or Magic Key passes are purchased, any entitlements or benefits associated with them are linked to the account used to purchase the tickets or passes. Although those tickets or passes can be linked to another Disneyland Resort account, that will become a secondary link only. Some entitlements do not automatically transfer over. This setup is useful when a group of friends joins together for a visit to the Disneyland Resort. They can all participate in things like making
Lightning Lane return time reservations for the group. But they don’t necessarily assume all of the same privileges afforded to the passes of the others in their group.
But in your case, it’s really best for you to have your Magic Key pass entitlements associated with your Disneyland Resort account. That way, you’ll be able to take advantage of some of the automated benefits, including savings for adding
Disney Genie+ to your pass for the day, discounts and access to exclusive Magic Key items when placing
mobile food and beverage orders, and discounts when using the
Disneyland mobile app for
Merchandise Mobile Checkout at select shops. To link your Magic Key primarily to your account, you will need to reach out to a Cast Member with the
Magic Key Holders phone line.
Tony’s Tip: If you haven’t already, I recommend following the
official Disneyland Resort Magic Key accounts on your favorite social media platforms. That way, you will be among the first to know about special offers and giveaways.
Thanks for your question, Giovanna. If there is anything else we can help answer, I hope you’ll visit us at planDisney again.
