    My boyfriend and I are planning to take a trip August 2020 & trying to maximize all the discounts we can.He is active military and lives in FL.We are planning to go to the park for 5 days. Should we buy the military ticket for me & FL for him

    Hi Karli!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Great question! My family and I have benefitted from both the Florida Resident Discounts as well as the Military Discounts, not only for ticket purchases, but Disney Resort Hotel discounts as well. They are both great benefits! Before I chime in on which discount is best for whom, there are a couple of things that need to be considered first. Both the Military Discounted Tickets and the Florida Resident Tickets come with restrictions. For example, in order for your boyfriend to buy you a military ticket, he would need to purchase one for himself. As for the Florida Resident Discount tickets, your boyfriend can technically make the purchase, however you will not be able to activate the ticket. You see, when you purchase the adult tickets, each adult will be required to present a valid Florida Drivers License or Florida ID Card or provide proof of Florida Residency, regardless of who purchases the ticket. Taking all these factors in to account, I think your best option would be the Military Discount Tickets. However, since your trip is towards the end of summer, you may want to wait to see what other special offers pop up!
