    Hi- My boyfriend and I are planning our first trip to Disney in Fl. for this July. Which is the nicest/most romantic Moderate resort with good transportation to the park? Traveling with him is like traveling with a 6 year old...Thanks!

    Hi Elizabeth!

     I think the Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside are great options for your visit!

     Usually, French Quarter has the bus pick up first, followed by Riverside. That's a major convenience if you go during busy times.French Quarter also is smaller and therefor getting around the resort is very easy.

     Aside from that, I think I have a slight preference to Riverside because it's larger and has a little more to offer such as carriage rides. Although you can very much enjoy a stroll at either resort (they are side by side),Riverside has many more areas to explore. Riverside has two differently themed building types: Magnolia Bend (think plantation, or mansions) and Alligator Bayou (more rustic).

     I think in either case you'll find that it's beautiful and you'll be on the Sassagoula River, and a boat trip away from Downtown Disney which is a nice break from the Disney buses.
