Hi! My boyfriend and I are planning a disney vacation for this summer. What resort would you recommend to have a little romantic time and have our it be worth the money? We are stuck between the animal kingdom lodge, the wilderness logde, and beach club?

    Hi Maria!

All three of those Disney Deluxe Resorts are fabulous.  My personal favorite Disney resort is the Wilderness Lodge.  I love the theming of the resort and it's location on Bay Lake.  I especially love the boat service it has to and from the Magic Kingdom.  It also has one of the most romantic restaurants at Walt Disney World: Artist Point.

The most romantic resort is, in my opinion, the Polynesian Resort.  If you are looking for romance, you should consider staying there.  That's my favorite resort if it's just my wife and I on a trip.  It also has a great location, being on the Magic Kingdom monorail line.  You can even walk from the Polynesian to the Epcot monorail line.

The Beach Club is an incredible resort.  Stormalong Bay is the main pool there (shared between the Beach Club and the Yacht Club) and it is fabulous!  It is a sand bottom pool divided into three parts.  It has a great lazy river and a very tall and long water slide.  Stormalong Bay is basically a mini-water park; you can easily spend a half day there!  The Beach Club also has a great location.  It's located on Crescent Lake, between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  You can walk or ride a boat to both theme parks.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is spectacular.  If you like the idea of having exotic animals outside your window, then you should consider staying there.  However, it's relatively far away from everything else at Walt Disney World and thus bus transportation can take a while.

My recommendation would be to stay at the Polynesian or the Beach Club; if you like the idea of spending a half a day or even a full day at the pool at your resort then go with the Beach Club!  Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
