Hey there, hi there, ho there, Angel, you’re as welcome as can be to planDisney!
I’m so excited for you to experience the
Happiest Place on Earth for the first time next year! I’m hopeful that by next October, our lives will feel a bit more normal! To help you start planning, I’d love to pass along some of my top tips for visiting the Disneyland Resort.
For starters, I recommend looking into booking a
Vacation Package, which allows you to build your dream trip around your personal preferences and budget. You can choose to stay on-property at one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels, or nearby at a Disney-approved
Good Neighbor Hotel. Currently, reservations are only available for booking through December 31, 2020, so I recommend checking back here or continuing to check
Disneyland.com for the latest updates. Theme-park tickets
are also currently unavailable.
Personally, I love being immersed in the magic by staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel! My first choice is always
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which is conveniently located just outside of Disney California Adventure Park – the hotel even has an exclusive entrance into the park! The
Disneyland Hotel is another family favorite, thanks to its modern style and classic Disney nostalgia.
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is a charming seaside-themed hotel, featuring a rooftop pool and picturesque views of Disney California Adventure Park.
As for dining, the Disneyland Resort doesn’t currently offer any Dining Plans. However, it’s a good idea to book
dining reservations 60 days before your visit. I recommend making at least one
Character Dining reservation. My favorite spot is Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park, which takes place at
Plaza Inn in Disneyland Park. My other favorite dining destinations in Disneyland Park include Carnation Cafe, Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, Cafe Orleans, and Blue Bayou Restaurant.
In Disney California Adventure Park, my favorite spot is Wine Country Trattoria. The food and ambiance are lovely! Lamplight Lounge is another fun option – the Pixar-themed decor is spot-on! Flo’s V8 Cafe is a great quick-service restaurant with wonderful views of Radiator Springs Racers.
Before your arrival, I recommend downloading the
Disneyland app, which is my favorite handy helper in the parks. Upon arrival, be sure to pick up complimentary “1st Visit!” buttons for first-time Guests! You can find them at City Hall in Disneyland Park, or at Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park.
I hope this information helps, Angel! Please stop by with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!
