Hi! Me and my boyfriend are hoping to do one of the special park tours when we visit the parks in summer. I was wondering is it completely necessary to advance book from the UK, or would we be okay asking at City Hall for next-week availability? Thanks!

    Hello Madeleine,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It's exciting to hear that you're planning to take in one of the many exceptional offerings for Special Events & Tours at Walt Disney World. My best suggestion would be to go ahead and book in advance if you know now that you're really interested in joining a tour. The tours are popular and they can fill up, and so it's good to have your reservation in place. I can share that before a few trips, I've tried last minute to see if there were tour times available, and understandably the tours were filled up. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with making an advance reservation. For a trip last year, we made advance plans to join Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour and we absolutely loved it. It was so special getting a guided tour of Magic Kingdom and getting a peek behind the scenes of how the magic happens. For as many times as we have played in Magic Kingdom, the tour was a fun and fascinating experience and gave us a whole new perspective on our favorite park. We're really looking forward to making plans for some of the other special adventures like Backstage Magic and Wild Africa Trek.

Madeleine, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful and magic-filled tour experience.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
