My boyfriend and I will be going to Disneyland in September. Can we bring a backpack on the rides that has our water bottles in it? Also, is a light sweatshirt recommended since it will be mid to late September when we go?

    Hey there, Maranda!

A very warm welcome to planDisney! Thank you for bringing your question to us!

Yes! You are welcome to bring a backpack with drinks with you to the Disneyland Resort. Just make sure your backpack does not exceed 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. Also, it may not contain any loose ice as this is on the list of items that are not permitted. Your backpack should be allowed on most rides. But you will need to leave it in a storage bin if you ride Silly Symphony Swings

You are welcome to bring your own water bottles with you and water fountains and water bottle refill stations are located throughout both parks. A map of drinking fountains can be found on the Disneyland Resort website. Also, you may request complimentary cups of ice water at select quick-service restaurants

Weather at the Disneyland Resort can change at the drop of a hat! So, I always recommend bringing a light jacket or sweatshirt with you. Layers are key any time of year. That way it’s easy to add or remove layers as needed.
I hope you have a wonderful time at the Disneyland Resort! Please come back with more questions in the future!
