Hi! My boyfriend and I are coming to Disney and plan on staying at POFQ. I am a little concerned about transportation to the parks- I am used to the monorail. Can someone help me with how the bus system works and all that jazz? Thanks so much!

    Hi, Emma!

Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter is so tranquil, beautiful and serene. Every time we visit here, I feel as though I should be holding hands with Princess Tiana as we stroll through the Quarters!

This Disney resort has two modes of transportation-buses and ferries. The buses frequently run to all of the Walt Disney World theme parks and water parks. Monitors are displayed at the bus stops giving you an approximate time that each bus will arrive. During the morning and late park hours, buses will pick up about every 10-15 minutes. The middle of the day between 11am and 4pm, the buses may run a bit slower.

Ferries also pick-up and drop off from the Disney's Port Orleans-French Quarters and takes you Disney Springs. Even when we don't stay at this resort, we enjoy riding these ferries. The view from the boats of Disney Springs is so pretty, especially at night!

If you find yourself running behind on time, Uber and Lyft are also available at an additional cost.

Laissez le bon temps rouler, (Let the good times roll) Emma!
