Hi Veronica! How exciting to be planning your first Disney vacation!
The first step is to decide what your budget will be. Then, you need to decide if you would like to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort or off-site. If staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, there are 3 categories of accommodations - Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts or Deluxe Resorts. There are accommodations at All-Star Music Resort and Art of Animation Resort- both Value Resorts, that will accommodate family's of 6 people. For a Moderate Resort, you might consider the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness. The Deluxe resorts will all accommodate your family. Here is a link for
resorts at Walt Disney World for 5 guests or more.
If staying in a Walt Disney World Resort, you can add the Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package. You can check details, options and pricing online, at
Disney Dining Plans. I find the Disney Dining Plan is a good idea for families with several children, especially for ages 9 and under. Then you will need to decide how many days you want to visit the Theme Parks. You can choose from 1-10 days, and the cost per day is cheaper the more days you choose. Current prices are available by clicking this link;

I also recommend checking Mousesavers.com, which is my go-to site for all the available discounts on Walt Disney World vacations. You'll definitely want to bookmark that website!
I hope I've given you a good starting point for planning your 1st Visit to Walt Disney World. Please come back to the Moms Panel to ask me any more questions you may have!
