Hello Moms! My boyfriend and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary at Disney and will be eating in epcot at around 6:30.Do you think we would have time to make it to a 9pm showing to cirque du soleil?I want the night to be as special as possible! Thanks!

    Joshua:

I think you can make it!

My rule of thumb for eating at Disney table-service restaurants is  1 1/2 hours....that puts you at around 8 p.m.  And I find that if I let my server know we are on a schedule, they are always gracious.  As you leave the restaurant, don't tarry as you walk through the park--especially if you are in World Showcase.  However, don't get shin splints from the almost 15-minute walk from that end of the park to the bus line for Downtown Disney.

When you get on the bus for Downtown Disney, keep in mind that the bus will make two stops at DD.  You'll be getting off at the second stop, which is for the West Side where Cirque is.  Getting off at the first stop will add a good 5- to 10-minute walk and could be the difference between getting there to see the clown antics in the aisles before the show (my favorite part) and walking in as the lights dim to start the show!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
