My boyfriend & I, along with our son will be visiting Magic Kingdom in May. This will be my boyfriends 1st time to Disney as well as our sons! My son will be 11 1/2 months by then. Any suggestions on how to make this family vacation enjoyable for both?

    Hi Arianna,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. How exciting to be heading to Walt Disney World for a first trip for your boyfriend and your son! They will both be able to experience the magic for the first time, and that is always wonderful to see. Be sure to pick up a complimentary "1st Visit" button for each of them at Guest Relations at any Disney theme park, or ask a cast member for the closest location to get one. It is always fun to hear others welcoming someone in your party to Walt Disney World for the first time.

I suggest that you and your boyfriend watch the Walt Disney World planning video online. This will allow you to get an idea of what attractions you would each like to experience, as well as giving you a feel for what your son might like. There are so many attractions that little ones can enjoy; you will find many! You also might find that there are some more thrilling attractions that you and your boyfriend would like to experience, but that your son cannot due to height restrictions. In those cases, take advantage of Rider Switch, offered at select attractions. Rider Switch will allow you and your boyfriend to each experience the attraction without having the second person wait through the whole queue.

Finally, take advantage of the Baby Care Centers located at the Disney theme parks. These locations offer great diaper changing facilities, a place to feed baby, and a simple, air conditioned respite if your little one gets overtired.

I would love to help you plan more Arianna; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
