Welcome back, Alicia!
Gawrsh! I'm so glad to see that you and your guys are ready to enjoy some family time together with brand-new Magic Keys! Like you, I purchased the
Special Southern California Resident Tickets for my Prince Charming so that he can join me and our little Mouseketeer on adventures during Valentine's,
Lunar New Year, and the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival this year.
Alicia,
upgrades on unused tickets can be done on-site before the resort closes for the day. At that time, you'll have to pay the difference between the Kid's ticket offer and the
Magic Key tier that you choose immediately because payment plans are not available for upgrades.
On the other hand, if any of the 3 tickets in your bundle have already been used, you will be able to apply the value of the bundle towards an upgrade through the
Disneyland Mobile App! Just tap on the ≡ symbol at the bottom right-hand corner, choose "Tickets and Passes," and voila! Your tickets with a barcode await. Underneath, you'll spot the option to upgrade.
But Alicia, if your crew hasn't dipped into those special tickets yet and you can't make it to the ticket booths when Magic Key sales reopen – here's an idea:
Grab a Magic Key online. Since Magic Keys are not activated until the first day that you physically visit the theme parks, you can purchase one online, and your renewal date won't begin until you choose to scan it in the parks. So go ahead, purchase online, and your renewal date stays put until your first park adventure. That means you can still use those specially-priced tickets by March 10th. Once you've had your fill of those, switch over to the Magic Keys you got through the virtual queue on
January 10th.
Sure, this option might not be a Disney Dollar saver, but it's a clever way to stack up those enchanting Disney Days!
Thanks again for visiting. I always love to see repeat visitors and be a part of building your family's plans!
You know where to find me if you have any more questions!
See ya real soon!
