i have boy girl twins who are turning 13 at disney world. what is the best way to celebrate becoming a teen at disney

Hi Julie! Walt Disney World is a great choice for celebrating a birthday no matter how old or young you are. There are many different ways to make a day special and the best one will depend on their interests.

One thought would be to make an advanced dining reservation at a nice spot followed by tickets to Cirque du Soleil in Downtown Disney. This is an amazing show that will surely please both of them. If they are more into the recreational type things then book a cabana at a water park for the day where they will be treated like royalty with their own personal attendant seeing to their every need. Or perhaps they would enjoy a para sailing trip from the Contemporary or try their ability at water skiing.

When we have someone celebrating a birthday we like to book one of the fireworks cruises either for Epcot or the the Magic Kingdom. You can do this with the beautiful Grand One Yacht at the Grand Floridian or a pontoon boat out of the resorts on the water.  Add a special cake to be on board and some balloons and it makes it a fun evening.

There are also many great tours that Disney offers that might make their day special. If they are adventurous they can try the Wild Africa Trek in the Animal Kingdom park.

Whatever you plan make sure you add the cake to your special meal that day and I am sure they will never forget their Disney teenage birthday!
