Hello! My boy friend and I will be celebrating our anniversary with a trip to WDW! First time! Is MK a lot like DL in CA? Is it worth visiting or should I spend extra days at other resorts that we've never visited. Also are fireworks only at MK?

    Hi Aimee,

Congratulations on celebrating your anniversary with a trip to Walt Disney World! I simply love your question.

I love both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World. Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park share what I call the same “Disney DNA.” If you frequent Disneyland Park, strolling through Magic Kingdom Park will bring you to familiar lands, sights, and attractions. Plus more. Is Magic Kingdom worth visiting? For me, it’s a must-experience. I'd say the same words to a frequent guest of the Magic Kingdom who is considering a visit to Disneyland Park. Each Park has a happy, magical vibrancy of its own.

Love fireworks and spectaculars? Point your eyes to the sky in each Walt Disney World Park. Magic Kingdom lights up with Happily Ever After.  Epcot captivates you with IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. Disney's Hollywood Studios takes you far, far away with Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. Disney's Animal Kingdom enthralls you with Rivers of Light.

Enjoy your first trip to Walt Disney World! I imagine it will not be your last.

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
