Ahoy there, Tiffany!
Welcome aboard planDisney! With your sailing just one week away, I completely understand wanting to get those last-minute packing questions answered so you can set your sights on embarkation day and get ready to make some waves!
The great news is that there is
no limit to the number of unopened bottles or cans of sparkling water you can bring onboard. The real question is how much you are willing to carry, because this is one piece of luggage that cannot be checked with the porters. You’ll need to keep it with you and carry it onto the ship.
That means your sparkling water will be joining you through the check-in process at the cruise terminal and potentially hanging around with you for a little while after you board. Depending on your
Port Arrival Time and boarding group, you could have some time to spend exploring the ship before your stateroom is ready. Staterooms are generally available around 1:30 PM, so I would definitely keep that in mind when deciding whether you really need to bring a small mountain of sparkling water with you!
I’ll also give you a little personal perspective. While I’m not a huge sparkling-water drinker myself, I am pretty picky about my water, and I have never had an issue with the water onboard Disney’s ships. I find it to be very high quality. If you’re bringing sparkling water because you have a particular brand or flavor you love, then absolutely bring what you need. But if you’re mostly concerned about having something to drink throughout the day, there are complimentary beverage stations available onboard.
Depending on your ship, you’ll find beverage stations in the buffet area, such as
Cabanas or
Marceline Market, as well as on the pool deck. I highly recommend bringing a refillable water bottle, too. I use mine throughout the sailing and find it especially handy when heading off for a Port Adventure. It’s much easier to refill a bottle than to try to play a game of “how many bottles can I carry?” while boarding the ship!
I hope this helps as you put the finishing touches on your packing list and get ready to trade the packing checklist for a sea day schedule. May your embarkation be smooth, your bubbles stay bubbly, and your vacation be worthy of a little more than a spoonful of sugar!
Sea ya real soon as summer waves goodbye and autumn magic begins to shine,
Dustin
