Hi Cathy!
Mr. Potato Head is one of my childhood favorites, and I loved growing up with him through the entire Toy Story series. My mom still says "Don't forget to pack your angry eyes" whenever I go on a trip!
Now that I'm a mom, packing up a box of Mr. Potato Head Disney-themed parts was high on my to-do list for my son's first visit to Walt Disney World Resort, with the intention to keep checking back on any new pieces. Sadly, as of last summer this experience is no longer at Once Upon a Toy at
Disney Springs. I, like you, am hoping that this is only temporary as a few experiences and store spaces in the Marketplace section have shifted around over the last few months to refurbish that side of Disney Springs. I'm also crossing my fingers that we'll see the return of this unique souvenir opportunity perfect for those "ages three and up" in the brand new
Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Toy Story will be greatly represented all across Walt Disney World Resort this year thanks to the opening of this new land, so I bet we'll both be able to find some really great Mr. Potato Heads anywhere we look.
Bonus Fun: There are a few other
do-it-yourself souvenir stations across Walt Disney World Resort, such as Build-A-Dino at T-REX in Disney Springs. You can build your own lightsaber at Tatooine Traders in Disney's Hollywood Studios. The Japan Pavilion in Epcot features a tank where you can watch an oyster of choice be opened to reveal the perfect pearl. There's even a
Minnie Mouse headband where you can swap out the bow!
We'll See You Real Soon, Cathy!
