Welcome to planDisney, Michelle!
Congratulations on your magical purchase! There's nothing more exciting than planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I always find that the hardest days are made more bearable when I have an upcoming Disney trip on the horizon. Now you just need to decide when to visit Mickey!
The first thing to do is create and/or sign in to your
My Disney Experience account through your browser. Go to the "My Plans" page and see if your ticket is visible. If not, hover over "Park Tickets" and click "Link Tickets." When you purchased your ticket, you should have received an ID number. Enter that ID number and that should link your ticket. Once you link your ticket, you should be able to see the expiration date. If, for whatever reason, you're unable to visit Walt Disney World before that expiration date, Hakuna Matata! You'll be pleased to know that the value of any unused tickets can be applied to new tickets (you'll just have to pay any difference in price).
Michelle, once you nail down the exact date(s) of your visit, you're going to want to make Theme Park reservations. There is a handy
Theme Park Registration Availability calendar that will let you know which parks have availability. The further out you make your reservation(s) the more chance you have of visiting your desired Theme Park(s).
If you're hoping to dine at one of the amazing
Disney restaurants, then I'd also recommend you make your dining reservations nice and early too. Guests can make dining reservations through their My Disney Experience account up to 60 days in advance of their trip. If you're staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, then you get the added benefit of being able to make reservations up to 60 days in advance plus the length of your stay (up to 10 days).
Did you know that the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is currently running until July 4? If you can visit during that time, you'll absolutely love the beautiful gardens around World Showcase and the whimsical
topiaries of beloved Disney characters. The
food and drink at this festival are pretty delicious too!
Also, keep an eye out for the opening of
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! Did you know that this is the first ever reverse-launch on a Disney coaster? Not only that, but it's one of the longest enclosed rollercoasters in the world! Get ready for some intergalactic fun. This attraction is scheduled to open this summer. I cannot wait! Keep checking
Disney Parks Blog for any exciting announcements.
If you need any help planning your trip, don't hesitate to stop by
planDisney again. We also have a
planDisney podcast coming out this week! Hopefully it'll help fellow Guests like you maximize your Disney magic.
See ya real soon, Michelle!
