Hey Howdy Hey Rachel and welcome to planDisney!

So sorry to hear you had to reschedule your upcoming trip, but glad to hear you will be planning to visit us again real soon! Thank you so much for your question regarding ticket expiration dates as situations such as yours come up more often than you think. Let's run through what to do with your tickets and hopefully use them for your next trip!

As you have found out, all theme park tickets for Walt Disney World Resort do come with expiration dates. If you are not able to make use of them before your tickets expire, this most often will best be resolved with a call to Disney. In the past, Disney has been somewhat flexible in getting the unused ticket amounts applied to new tickets. This will hopefully be the case with your tickets. Just know that tickets are priced specific to dates and seasons so depending on when you want to use them, you may be charged the difference from what you paid for your tickets to the new dates.

There is so much happening right now at Walt Disney World that it is an exciting time to visit the parks and resorts. There is also so much currently under development that hopefully we will hear updates on the status of progress and expected opening dates. Two of the attractions on my radar are in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. I keep hearing so much about TRON Lightcycle Run set to open in Magic Kingdom and seeing the progress is just so exciting. The other attraction in development is Journey of Water inspired by Moanna in EPCOT. Both of these attractions sound so very cool to experience and any little bit I can get I love. One of the best places to get the most up-to-date information on these and all the goings-on in Walt Disney World is over at Disney Parks Blog. So no matter when you will be visiting again, keep up with all the latest information here to keep the excitement alive for your upcoming trip!

Best of luck getting things lined up for your next trip and if you have any further questions please feel free to reach out and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
