Hi Kristin! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Yes, you can enter the parks in your costume as long as it meets the
dress code guidelines for special events. Be sure to read through all the terms carefully, which are subject to change. If it's anything like the Disneyland Dark events I've attended, you'll see lots of fellow Guests in the parks in their costumes. You don't have to wait until the Disneyland After Dark event starts to enter because of your spunky Rapunzel costume. Whether your costume meets the guidelines is always up to the discretion of security Cast Members, but assuming it does, you should have the best day ever (and night) starting as soon as your ticket grants you entry.
We've done a Tangled cosplay as a family, although I ended up as Mother Gothel rather than my favorite Rapunzel thanks to my hair. I'd suggest you be especially careful about the length of any wig you might wear, as well as the length of your dress. You don't want anything to drag on the ground, including Blondie's dress, and I'd suggest Rapunzel's golden hair probably shouldn't extend past the waist for safety reasons. That always comes first!
You must be excited to have secured the sought-after
Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts' Nite tickets. A night of real magic is awaiting you, which will include rare Characters, shorter queues, special treats, and entertainment. As you're dreaming of your night of heartfelt joy, follow the
Disney Parks Blog for all the official news of what you can expect, as well as the
Disney Eats blog, which is the official source of food and beverage news for the parks. If you love to snack your way through an event, you'll want to have that must-eat list ready to go before the night begins.
Have a magical night!
Elizabeth
