Welcome to planDisney, Gabrielle. We're here for all of your Disney vacation planning questions.
When purchasing a
ticket to the
Water Parks at the Walt Disney World Resort, you are usually purchasing access to whichever water park is open at the time. In other words, the ticket is not tied to a specific water park. So even though
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park won't be open when you are at the resort in December,
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park will, so you'll be able to check out that fantastic park instead! Regarding refunds, tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, but if you purchased a separate admission ticket to a water park, you can usually save that ticket for another trip and apply the value to a future visit. Just note that if the price increases, you're usually responsible for the difference and if the price decreases, you usually do not receive a refund for the difference. Be sure to check out the
Terms & Conditions page for more details.
For a December getaway, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park will make you feel like you're on a winter vacation...with a Florida twist! You see, according to this park's backstory, a long time ago, a freak snowstorm hit the area and as a result, this fun "ski resort" was born. And now that
Tike's Peak has been rethemed to a winter wonderland inspired by the
Frozen films, even little ones will be more excited than ever to experience this unique place.
Gabrielle, I hope that your visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort during the jolliest time of year is happier than you could even imagine.
Please reach out with any other questions.
Let's build a snowman,
Matt
