If I bought tickets for this Saturday and unable to attend can I switch the dates for next year,or do I have to reschedule for this year?

Hey there, Karina. Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us. I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to make your magical visit as you originally intended but am happy to help out.

It's never fun when you have to reschedule the magic, but the great news is that there is some flexibility built into your Disneyland Resort theme park ticket. If you purchased your ticket at the Disneyland site or on the Disneyland app recently, it most likely expires on December 30, 2024, if you have a one-day ticket. If you have a multi-day ticket, it must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2025, whichever occurs first. You can always check the email confirmation that you received after purchasing which will also include your ticket's expiration date.

In either case, it sounds like your next planned visit will be well within these time frames. If for some reason you aren't able to use your theme park ticket before its expiration, no worries, not all is lost. You can apply the original value of a wholly unused and expired theme park ticket (excluding special event tickets) towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket, as long as the cost of the new ticket is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket. Hooray for flexibility!

There are so many wonderful things happening at the Disneyland Resort right now, but who knows what additional magic 2024 will bring? One thing is for sure, there will always be many tasty treats to enjoy throughout your visit. One of my favorite classic treats is a DOLE Whip (mobile ordered, of course) on a warm day.

Karina, although you might have to wait until next year to visit the Happiest Place on Earth, I hope this information gives you some relief knowing that your ticket gives you some flexibility. If you think of other questions that we can help with, please come back to share them with us.

    See ya real soon,
    Michelle
