Hello I just bought tickets for a regular day at California Adventures for August 17, and also bought tickets for Oogie Boogie event for the 19. My question is for 17 does we have to leave California early due to us not having tickets for the event.

Hey there, hi there, Milagros! Welcome to planDisney. We are happy to have you stop by with your question for us!

I am so thrilled to hear that you will be visiting Disneyland next month! A visit during Halloween time is always a must for our family. If you have a park day planned for Disney California Adventure Park on August 17, 2025, which is also the first night for Oogie Boogie Bash, you will have to leave the park when the event starts at 6:00 p.m. If you have a park hopper ticket, you will be able to go to Disneyland Park. The good news is that on the day that you do have Oogie Boogie Bash tickets for later that week, you will be able to enter the park 3 hours before the event begins.

Oogie Boogie Bash is such a fun event, and the time always seems to go by so fast. I do recommend that you try to plan a little ahead of time, as far as what you want to do during the event, so you can prioritize. I love this type of event because attractions have lower wait times, but if you've been in the parks the last few days, that may not be your top priority. Certain character experiences can have long wait times as well as Villain's Grove, so that's definitely something you should plan if you are interested in those. I try to get into these lines during one of the parade times to try to catch lower wait times. I also recommend mobile ordering your dinner earlier in the day because those times do tend to fill up, and you don't want to be stuck wasting time in a line to get food when there's so much fun to be had!

Milagros, thanks so much for stopping by! Happy haunts to you!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
