Hey there, Annalynne, and welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you and your family have a trip to the
Disneyland Resort coming up in just a few short months!
Regarding your tickets - you are all set! You can assign whatever names you would like to tickets on your end, that will not impact who is able to enter the parks. The first time you use your tickets at the entrance turnstiles, the Cast Member will scan each ticket and take pictures of the person associated with that ticket, which is what will be used each time you scan tickets for the rest of your visit.
It sounds like you are approaching it the same way I do. On our family trips, I'm typically the official "holder of the tickets" and add each family member's ticket to my
Disneyland Mobile App. When we enter a park, then I just scan all our tickets at once. Though just keep in mind that each person needs their assigned ticket to enter the park, so if your group might split up, then you could take screenshots on your phone of each ticket and send them to the appropriate person, or they could add them to the Disneyland Mobile App on their own phone.
Have you already made your
park reservations? If you purchased
Park Hopper tickets and haven't already seen the news, you'll be able to switch parks as early as 11 a.m. PT by the time of your visit!
You'll be visiting the Disneyland Resort at such a great time. The
Disney100 celebration will be in full swing, and
Mickey's Toontown will be open (along with the new
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway attraction). If you're a planner like me and would like some inspiration on some can't-miss attractions and experiences, then it's never too early to get started with the
Disney Genie service found on the Disneyland Mobile App! It will ask you some preference questions and give you suggestions based on what your family wants to do during your visit.
Thank you so much for your question, Annalynne! If you think of any follow-up questions, please feel free to
write me back directly.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
